I'm a newbie
Has anybody used the radio output on the VisionPlus aerial booster successfully ?

Any suggestions how to run the aerial co ax to the radio, on our Bailey 68-2 the aerial is on the nearside coming down into the wardrobe behind the passenger seat. All the wiring from the front comes through by the B pillar on the drivers side and is a very long run and there are cables with high loads, which may cause interference.

I did use it for a while but then fitted a FM aerial on the roof which worked a bit better but not much. Today I’ve fitted a signal booster behind the radio which seems to work.

I always thought you should try and improve the "source", ie an improved aerial, as opposed to trying to boost a poor signal including interference?

To this end, I've been considering, well dithering, about fitting a new aerial to the passenger wing (FIAT Ducato) and running a new cable to the back of the head unit however given we've already got cabling from the Status aerial to the back of the head unit (for TV on the drop down monitor) wonder if it would be worthwhile just trying an adaptor plug on the end of this for the radio reception? Anybody any thoughts on this?

Sorry to OP The Artilleryman for maybe sidetracking the thread a wee bitty but any answers may give some insight into viability, or not, of your thoughts.

I did that first with a new aerial on the van roof which also has a 12 v connection but this other booster that I bought just plugs into the radio aerial socket so it’s an easy job.
