Hi folks

I know a few have asked if we will repeat the event this year.

Unfortunately the local council have decided that it is no longer compulsory for schools to close in our borough for all religious holidays hence our sons extra day last year which enabled the event.

We are likely to arrive late on Friday evening or on Saturday morning depending on our sons after school activity schedule and therefore wont be able to meet and greet everyone as they arrive.

So I am asking for a volunteer to meet and greet funsters as they arrive on the Friday and get everyone together on the Friday night.

The Hog Roast weekend starts Friday 26th November to Sunday 28th November with the main event on:-

Sat 27th End of Season Party with Hollywood Showband - come and celebrate the end of the 2010 season with caberet and a hogroast

Remember to bring your best fancy dress too. That goes for both adults and the children - but it is optional. Apart from hogroast, last year they also had a variety of food choices including curry and vegetarian dishes so dont worry if you dont eat pork.

There is an onsite restaurant that does an excellent sunday roast which is value for money especially considering the large portions they dish up so you have an option to join us for lunch in the restaurant before making your way home on the Sunday

DONT BOOK YET as I will put a separate thread on if there is enough interest.

It looks as if it will cost £15 per night for pitch with electric hook up and if the pitches are too soggy we can use the hardstanding and car park so make sure you have long electric hook up leads just in case.

The meet will be held at Waldegraves on Mersea Island which is near to colchester.

Will give you more information later so please post below if you fancy joining us and also if are willing to volunteer for the Friday.
