When you say van, is is a PVC? You can buy Magnetic AM Stickers now. If you need to remove your ceramic coating i would take advice ( if possible) from whoever applied it. You could try Methalated Spirits or similar but personally i would get advie from who applied it first.

I know this is not the answer you are looking for but if it were me and it was likely to damage my paintwork or overall finish I would be putting them in the glove box.

If you run over a cyclist are you going to get out and stick them on and make them look dirty so it looks like they have been there all along? Meanwhile a cyclist is writhing on the floor with broken bones?

Stick a slightly bigger base of " Helicopter Wing tape" on the van, then stick the sign to that. Over sticking then with another layer of Wingtape is belt and braces.

I think if I run over a cyclist, he would not have seen the stickers anyway. Running over some one would suggest I was in front of them so they would have no visibility of the stickers. I hate it getting dark things but don't want to be stopped and for ned, but if the stickers won't stick what is one supposed to do.
Similar issue again in France non commercial vehicles can not get a tag for a vehicle that is over 3 metres.
Then there was the insane requirement to carry breatherlisers ( luckily that got dropped).
Next in Spain we have to carry flashing lights, it never flipping ends, trying to be compliant
So no ideas of how to get a sticker to stick on a plastic van that has been ceramic coated.
Question is still open?
