I’m a newbie
Hi
hubby and I are having a big disagreement on this subject. I’m saying we will be better with a 4. Hubby saying we need a 6. It’s to put a table and 2 small chairs for dinner and then 2 summer chairs for chilling. I have read that the 6 will get refused on some sites. What do existing owners think.

Having seen a few erected on the Motorhomefun rallies at the shows last year I think that the larger ones are far too big and the smaller ones are not much better as even they encroach onto other campers space.
It would be no different on a campsite so you may find that some sites will not allow them.

We have the six. Definitely better for 6 or more visitors - but then a marquee would be better still ::bigsmile: . Base your choice on how many you expect to house / feed.

Don't forget there is a 4+4. A good compromise between the two.
We had the 6 as we often travel with 2 grandkids so like the space. I did consider the issue about it being 3+MTRS wide and not fitting on some pitches or even at some rallies where they mark out 6mtr spaces.
The 4+4 is only as wide as a roll out awning but a good length, 4.8mtr I think.

Quest 4+4 £199 including free side walls.

That's one good buy for someone, we bought a '6' last year for around £120 without any extra side panels and I thought that was a bargain.
We are well pleased with it, been up on our pitch in Portugal since October and showing no ill effects, I would think a bit big when packed for touring though and we have had to rig a centre pole up to stop the pop up roof popping down in the wind which does restrict the useful space a bit.

(y) Seems a common issue of the roof popping down on the hexagonal ones.
Regular to see when on a Fun rally once the wind gets up..
HOWEVER, My erection stays as solid as a rock. I have witnesses. ;)

Hubby and i were also unsure which size to get, but after reading the bigger ones, were sometime refused on some sites, decided on the quest elite pro 4 pop up screen house.( All extra sides included) had demonstration in the shop, very quick putting up and down, also light enough, as not to eat too much into the payload, fitted in our under floor lockers, very happy. £240- from Jackson's of Arley in Coventry, good luck  (y)

We have the 4x4 and it has now done 5 long stints of 6 weeks in Beni plus lots of short trips. We can fit table plus 4 chairs easily. It is currently up in our garden which although large has little shade due to the fact that it spent most of of it’s life being used as a football pitch when the boys were younger! One corner peg hole came unstitched last week but it has endured all weathers. Once we can travel again we will be getting a new one and it will be another 4x4. We have a PVC and it slides nicely along under one of the bench seats,

We had a six and found it too big for us.
I prefer the square shape as it’s more “economical” with the space you have when you pitch it ?
