Ooo, ok. That wasn't even on my rather short long list of possible usesFridge vent covers for cold weather.
We just found them at the bottom of a drawer we don't empty out very often. Been camping in sub-zero temperatures and never fitted them, maybe we should from now on.Your supposed to fit them if the temp falls below 5-6 I believe to allow fridge to work at maximum. You remove the vent covers by sliding a little black plastic switch at the inside top of the vent. A word of caution ....the vent surround plastic nodules which the vent fixes to become brittle with age and I ended up having to replace both vent surrounds as the nodules had snapped off. I know from the Auto Trail groups most people leave them off which I now do having learnt the hard way.
If it drops below freezing I will bang them on the rest of the time they are in the drawer. I am heading your direction late August up to Knordcapp hopefully I wont need themWe just found them at the bottom of a drawer we don't empty out very often. I never motorhome in temps below say, 12 deg, and the only time I've fitted my fridge vent covers has been when taking it to be washed. We just found them at the bottom of a drawer we don't empty out very often.
