Pup Stopover near Shrewsbury

Any recommendations for a pub stopover for a night near Shrewsbury?
We travelling to Lake Bala in North Wales from Portsmouth
Just want to break the journey up a bit

Try The Horseshoe at Uckington, on the B5061. MH parking is left and up behind the pub, on the top car park furthest from the pub.
The do a decent carvery on certain days.

If interested, the RAF Cosford Museum is close by, and definitely worth a visit, finishing off with a nice meal and a drink at the pub.

You are allowed to overnight in the council car park "frankwell". Walk over pedestrian bridge and your in the town.

Are there specific MH parking bays Steve, or do you have to park in car bays, and pay for the number of bays you occupy?

Pay for the bays you cover. I have not stopped there but checked it out on last visit and had a chat with warden in town. No issues "unless your having a holiday there"
Free on Sundays.
