Will be setting off for the ferry on a Saturday, sailing Sunday, would like to stop over at a pub/restaurant en route. Will be longish drive so a nce meal and a glass of wine woud go down well.
Suggestions please. or a campsite within about 15 minutes safe walk from an eatery.

Err the M5 is quite long maybe a point of reference would help :D

As @Janine has said or better still theres the Farmers Arms by Apperly that is on the Brit stops list so the site fee will pay for part of your meal.
They brew their own beer as well, apparently gets good reviews as well.

The Boat and Anchor inn beside a canal on the Somerset Levels would be a bit closer to Plymouth. It says on their website that Motorhomes can stay with a donation to charity

Thanks all am fancying the Boat and Anchor, but both look good, Farmers arms sounds good too, but we're not in britstops, and might never get away if they brew their own beer.

Sue.. so are you going to the boat and anchor on SATURDAY night?

Not this Saturday Joy, what is the problem with a Saturday, boat goes on the Sunday. Will pm you.

The Fox at Easter Compton, half a mile from J17 (Cribbs Causeway) no need to be Britstops member.

Then top up with cheap fuel and LPG if required at ASDA

Will have a look at this one too, we will be needing somewhere for when on our way home too. Hopefully will be gassed up as we set off, pass 3 LPG places before we hit the motorway. Will probably need to fuel up, but try to wait till we get to Spain. Finally geting excited about going.
