Hi peeps, what's a good price for a 6kg popane bottle refill

Just paid £32 in Derbyshire.

Theres a point how would we even know?

Wow, mine was from a local garage , don't you just love having your pants pulled down whilst supporting the local community.

Sometimes those garages are owned by big companies

I won't bother incase it bursts my 'happy bubble' lol

Not a bad idea to estimate what's left in the other bottle 😅

I've had a couple of underweight Calor cylinders. Note that the Tare weight on the collar is in lbs and ozs.

My experience and Calor's reaction here:

With the increase in price of all petro-chemical products the calculation of whether to fit refillable/bottles tanks must be increasingly in favour of re-fillables.

Our old refillable, even at older/lower gas prices has paid its way.

When doing the calculations does anyone take into account of diversion journeys(sometimes fruitless) to Calor agents, when one is out of gas, compared with topping up a refillable when passing a station on one's normal route?

No, I always refill it after every trip and, so far, have never run out. It always amazes me just how little my fridge and cooking use.

We sell hundreds of refillable LPG cylinders / tanks and to be honest not many customers are actually interested in cost savings or payback of initial purchase.
Many are purely interested in not having to lift heavy cylinders and for others it’s about the ability to top up .
We are now seeing more customers who are fed up looking for Calor cylinders.
Hopefully things will settle down shortly but I am not seeing any improvement at the moment.

We have always had one of each, a gasit and a calor, but in most cases only use the calor in the very occasionally times we have run out with the gasit, and the calor bottle has been around Europe for five years now and still not empty but obviously hasn't been used much this last couple of years.
