Rally Chat Pre - Pembrey, Burry Port Gathering / Meal 24/09/2015

Prior to the Pembrey Meet last year a few Fusters spent some time in the Motorhome Parking Area at the nearby Burry Port Harbour.
We live in Burry Port, and have been thinking about arranging a Funster meal in a local pub prior to this years meet. We sounded it out with some Funsters at recent meets who were going to be at Pembrey, and after getting positive replies, we are going for it.

Overnight Parking for Motorhomes is permitted in the Long Stay Sea Front Parking at a cost of £7 a night. The facilities are basic, but there is a fresh water supply. The area is hard standing, currently a bit bumpy but OK if you take care when parking.
The Harbour Masters Office control the parking, and they have agreed that we can park up to 20 Units for the Thursday night.

We have made a provisional booking for the evening with the Cornish Arms for up to 40 Funsters, and will put up the menu and full details in the next few weeks, there are plenty of reviews on the pub available online, most are very good, it has a good selection on the menu and is particularly good for fish.
The Pub is about 400 yards from the parking Area.

We have started a list including the folks we chatted with who are coming to Pembrey, if you would like to join us, you would be very welcome.
Post here and we will put you on the list. As this is a very short notice gathering and we will need to let the pub know the numbers, PLEASE only add your name to the list if you are certain to attend.

Will some one lend me a motorhome for the weekend please!!!!
I am suffering with extreme motorhome withdrawal illness at the moment.
Not so happy daze at the moment

The Pembrey meet starts on Friday the 25th and runs through 26th 27th. I will add you to the list for the one night the 24th all will be moving to Pembrey the following day.

You may find you are not alone on the Wednesday, I know of at least one other Funster who may be there then. :)

OK here is the plan, We luv planning for a party :)

When arriving in Burry Port, follow the brown signs for the Harbour, and go to the Long Stay parking area.
Approaching the parking area adjacent to the Life Boat Station there is the Harbour Masters Office, this is where you will need to pay your £7 for the night. (Park up first then call in, don't worry if the office is closed up you can catch them later)
Sat nav Settings are 51°40'44.17" N 4°14'49.65" W
Parking is very informal, not marked out, so just park where you like, either in the area just behind the front reserved for Motorhomes (space for 10 ish) or on the front itself.
We will not be using our wagon, but will call down sometime in the afternoon, and later for the meal.

We have booked the Cornish Arms for 6:30 in the evening, there are 39 of us!
Attached are the menus, there are quite a few, as you will see, the lunch menus are available to 8:30 Monday to Thursday which will include us, so if you want a cheaper meal use those.
The pub has asked that we give them some notice of what we want from the menus, so once you have had a good look can you PM (conversation) us with your wishes.

Finally after we have eaten, we can wander over to the Yacht Club, it is closer to the parking area so less distance to stagger, the Club Bar Steward ;) has asked do we need him to stay open after the normal 11pm closing? so what do I tell him? it's up to you. :rofl::rofl::rofl:
