Portugal toll fee scam

Received a letter today from a company in UK demanding payment for using my tow car in portugal. Date given I was in Portugal but had paid all fees. Demanding £13.08 but after checking on the Pagamento De Portagens web site for the day given (Portuguese toll site direct) there are no unpaid tolls associated for the reg given at all on the day given. Peculiar as the uk company Euro Parking (epcplc.com) have shown a picture of my car but with registration number only, no times shown. Upon checking their website have to conclude this is a scam ! Will not be paying and will ignore the letter. If you receive same from this company for either non payment in Ireland or Hungary check. Apparently this company do not respond to phone calls, only via their web site. I have printed off the proof from Portuguese web site and will see what happens.

Might not be a scam. I am having fun and games with them re Hungary. I bought e vignettes One for going out and one for return. I made an error on reg, new van. One digit K instead of X, compounded it on return as it Autofilled.

5 fines , 3 going out, 2 coming back, nearly £100 each. Appealed as there’s a reduction, you still have to pay admin fee but Hungary only charge about £2 for each error . EPC charge £50 per admin fee! The letters are from EPC but the English is terrible. The due dates are confusing.

Keep the envelopes as you can track the arrival dates by the barcodes if you appeal.

I have got mine down to £250 so far! Can’t risk much more negotiating as we’re going away soon. Some of my fees should have been amalgamated ie the 3 and the 2 so more like £60 and £55.

If you’re going back to Portugal I don’t think I’d risk it . EPCplc are a genuine company but they are bu..ers

Yours is a tiny amount. I wouldn’t risk it.

I know there are people on here who just bin these sorts of things but after 60 days they just double. Mind you yours is still a small amount compared with mine!
