Getting Better
some of you may know that we were heading for Croatia but it looks like the weather is not that good over there at the moment so we're off on the train on Tuesday driving up from Cornwall tomorrow and will stay at my sisters near Gatwick then it's a short hop over then down through France then over into north Spain, along the top and down through Portugal for a while....

I'll try and put a few things on here and pics if anyone is interested .....

Laters.....(y)

Garry, I suspect we will be a few days behind you, leaving a week Monday. But we will probably stop when we get to some good weather as we are only away for 3 or 4 weeks.

Is the weather that bad on Croatia ? Surely by the time your there it will have picked up.
There have been floods in Tuscany but only short term storms I think (y)

How long should it take to reach Belgrade - not dashing but at a comfy pace ?

Have a good trip whichever way you turn at the port.

If you do Northern Spain I'd definitely like some piccies, I need to fill in some gaps of where to visit next.

Just checked the weather everywhere and it looks like we are going down south, better and a longer chance of warm sunshine.:sun:

Sitting on my sisters drive and will be leaving Gatwick shortly for the train at 11.50.

It's sunny here and warm in the sun but we had to put the heating on this morning :cold:

We're heading for mailleraye-sur-seine aire for our first stop..

Hope this helps...

JJ

Thanks @JJ that's what we're looking for:sun:

Will probably be going past you at sometime in the next 4 weeks...(y)

Enjoy your trip
Chasing the sun sure beats sitting in the rain.

It's very quiet at the tunnel today..

Quick and easy...(y)

We decided to avoid northern Spain after a night of torrential rain at the weeekend, went over the hill to Vitoria Gasteiz for a day of tapas and vino. When we got past Burgos yesterday the sky's cleared and had a lovely day in Zamora,we are now in Portugal at Braganca. :sun::sun:
Should say that we decided to avoid the Picos because of the weather but a family of newbies that we met earlier posted pics from there yesterday and it was lovely.

Looking at the weather Northern Spain is going to be cold and wet this week (as low as 10C). Next week is much better according to the forecast with temperatures well into the 20s. So may head down there quickly after our Sunday evening tunnel crossing before it changes again. Or maybe not if we hit a hotspot in France!

We are heading off to Portugal for the first time on thursday via the tunnel, droping down through spain(also the first time in Spain) to seville then turning right into Portugal then heading north up the coast. We have 3 weeks to do this, any recommendations would be helpfull.

It was a fairly quiet run down today and only a few spots of rain now and again, mostly blue skies and fairly warm of 18c

We're working our way in the opposite direction. Came over from Salamanca to Braganca over the weekend in glorious sunshine. Arrived in Oia (southern Galicia) in the same but awoke to find it cloudy this morning. A damp drive up past Vigo to our current overnight near Cangas. Clearing nicely this evening. We'll be heading up the west coast and around towards Ribadesella in a couple of weeks before cutting down through the Picos towards home at the end of the month. :)

We're at a lovely aire just outside of Saumur on the banks of the Loire, Campercontact 19568 €6 +tt.

Had rain most of the way down but it looks like they haven't had any here for a few days but the forecast is rain tonight.
Going to Twin Lakes tomorrow and will stay a couple of nights, so a days rest, or not as the case may be....:wine:

After a day at Zamora and Braganca we are now parked up at Puebla de Sanaria with this view tonight.

I take it it's a good site but the washing machine is standard....?.;)

:)

We've brought the sunshine to twin lakes, had a great run down the N10, it goes on for ever...!
We just caught the end of the ladies fishing contest which was well attended.

A swift pint of Guinness at the bar and put the world to rights with a few friends that we met from last year...
It's a bit windy like we've had all the way down but it's definitely shorts and t-shirt for me....

We're going to stay here for the day and night tomorrow for a rest and I might have a go at sorting my faulty fuel sender tomorrow.

Chilling now...
