If heater is larger than 700watts it will trip the generator, that one won’t run heaters

It is a 700 Watt generator. That just will not cope with any heater worth its name. I imagine your heater will be 1 kW minimum.

Those sort of generators are the best type for keeping your batteries topped up.

They will run the fridge and battery charger no problem, anything that produces heat will usually overload them.

Bigger isn’t always better, if you just need to charge batteries, it’s ideal.

If you look at any device it will tell you what power it takes. 700W with a 800W peak means a maximum draw of about 3Amps. So, hair driers, kettles, irons, even things like vacuum cleaners will draw more that that and the generator will stop delivering power. It also does not say it's a 'pure sine wave' inverter meaning you need to be very careful with anything with electronics or a motor on board. It will charge your onboard batteries though.

No. The voltage is correct at 230V. You need more power or wattage. However be very careful with generators. Lots of places refuse to have them, and other severely restrict their usage for the benefit of everyone else. Add in restrictions on travelling with petrol, the payload issue, and the need to properly vent the exhaust, you might find its a lot more hassle than its worth. If thinking about buying a bigger one, you would you do a lot better to invest in bigger and better batteries and solar to charge them. The short and long of it is you are camping, not at home. Use gas for heating and cooking and the 12v for lighting and a few small consumption items.

Gas or, increasingly, diesel heating is the option for heating on newer vehicles but the 2.8 litre Fiat Ducato is, fairly obviously, an older vehicle.

To the OP an electric fan heater or the like will work on an EHU on a UK campsite especially at lower power settings (but might well trip the circuits on some continental sites).
