Stopped off to have a look round Brownhills on my way back up from Abbey Wood to Knaresborough on my way home, first time there for me.

They had a huge amount of new vehicles for sale, lots of people in buying, salesmen’s calculators were all in use! There was actually a queue waiting for appointments.

Great accessories shop and a very nice cafe, had a lovely baked potato with tuna.

Not sure I’d buy there, a bit big and impersonal for me, but couldn’t fault the facilities, even a Fiat Professional dealer which would be handy.

I’ve never bought any vehicle from a dealership and not about to start in my 60’s, leaving that aside Brownhills seem to get more bad press than good from the Funsters

I don’t think Brownhills gets more bad press than good here.

When I read the thread title I was worried you bought on the spur of the moment.

Brownhills did have a terrible reputation in the past but it has changed ownership so maybe improved.
The old Brownhills owned Hymer(UK) near Preston and I had bad dealings with them as left a deposit over the w/e, which they did not cash and sold the MH by Monday. I came out OK because I bought the same model privately £5K cheaper.

I hope they have improved.

Helen did text me to say, don’t dare buy a new Motorhome! 😀

We popped in last year to top up with gas and walked out with an adria sonic , note to self , source gas elsewhere in future. Cant fault their service and aftersales tho

We bought our current motorhome from Brownhills and have been very pleased with their service. They offer free overnight stops inc ehu, swimming pool use to club members (anyone who purchases a motorhome from them - and still own it) they also offered a good price for cam belt change and discount up to 20% at times from their accessory shop.

I also think they sell or about to sell LPG, which will be a bonus!

Hi.
I have never bought from there, but, when looking to buy our first m/ho,spent a couple of weekends there and was treated well and given sound advice looking back. Bought our first m/ho direct from builder, second one from Marquis N/hampton. ( Again great service. Chris Bennion and the American John Forte ? Got to mention " Shake hands " aka Bone crusher. :ROFLMAO: ) Third and fourth ones Wildax.Elland. Were i to be a couple of weeks YOUNGER... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: the fifth one would be a Wildax ( We have had our MOMENTS..paperwork wise....) but everything has allways worked when it dropped of the kerb outside the factory gate. THATS all i needed.
Tea Bag.

We bought our van from them in 1990 . still got it. But they would not let us join the club.

Yep they have an LPG pump - but the assistant has to use it.

If you buy from them you (usually) are given club membership, this includes 20 days each year using the club site free of charge (incl swimming pool). If we are heading north, from from south of Cambridge, we book into the club for the night and top up our LPG. It’s dearer than non-motorway garages but we know we can get it.😁

Showers free tea n coffee and an attendant to fill you're gas , what's not to like
