Popit SIM - When Does The Month Start?

Hi everyone
Is the Popit 'month' per calendar month, or from the day you activate it, please? For example, if I wanted it from 27th August to 10th September, would I have to pay for 2 months or just one?

However, you should note that there it needs some use in UK prior to using in EU.
