As I have been looking for thermal covers, which only from reading away on here, its worth getting the external ones for condensation reasons.
Two makers seem to be most popular. As I can't see any differences i thought I could pick one by the popular vote.

I cannot find a way to do a proper poll on here so...

Could you please hit...

"Like" for Taylormade

A "nice one" (green tick) for Minster or polar as it seem it's branded..

And "Heart" for silverscreen.

Thank you!

We've got Taylormade however I think you've missed the other very (maybe most) popular, Silverscreens.

I've tried a lot and to be honest, I have one that I sell for £40 and it works almost as well as ones I've tried that sell at over £200

Ah crikey... well that was a quick edit to the poll. I either didn't see that make, or it wasn't mentioned on any threads I saw! Thanks! :giggle:

I ordered a locally made one, in Tenerife, for €240. I don't have it yet so no idea if it is good or not, but their press comments are good so I went for it. The makes you mention in the post are not available here, so I needed a local solution.

It's a difficult one as the original Silverscreens are great but expensive whereas Minster Polar are very good quality & affordable - if buying new would go for Minster Polar as they are the best value for money but if cheap enough & "as new" secondhand then Silverscreens or perhaps Taylormade would do. Have had all of these & more over the years but have only bought Minster Polar new.

They all seem to work to keep the heat out in sunny climes. Not bothered about condensation as it's easy to remove from the cab area with a window vac, if prevented from condensing there it will probably do it in a less easily dealt with place.

I had Hindermans on previous Hymer, very well made. Now got Taylormade, as I prefer the ones that fit without going over the door or in the window.

There was an issue with Minster/Polar last Autumn. The ones for the new Transit cab were letting in water, so they temporarily removed them from the market.

I don't know if the issue has now been resolved. But we needed one quickly, so went to Taylormade. Very happy with purchase, but nothing to compare it to as it's our first.
