When raising the bed my battery drops from 12.8v to 11.6v then recovers slightly even if only dropped half way down then raised
When I am not on hook up Dealer said to start engine every time you raise the bed but this can't be correct this is the model that won the award for this bed last year I think that Polite have to small electric motor but dealer says different
I have two 100amp AGM batteries fitted and 100amp solar
Has anyone else had this problem
My last van was a Chausson that had twin beds never had any problems and that was with 1x 95amp battery only

Never had problems (except when battery was dead) with a decent battery even moving bed up and down 4 times in succession in my rapido, never needed to start engine.
Raising the roof on a Bongo was possible without starting the engine but engine on was the preffered option.

Never had to start engine or notice battery depletion when moving bed up or down on my 2011 Pilote. The bed is moved via 2 actuators, electric powered struts one on each side of bed mechanism. The motor bit is only the size of a pack of cards .
