Hi all, I decided to try PolarSteps for our current Norway trip and it looks good but I have decided to keep it private and only share it with close family and friends. I copied the private link one sent it to them via WhatsApp. But when they click on it there is a security warning. Am I copying the wrong link? Or doing something else wrong.
It doesn’t track the whole route but just straight line steps but it is good to just quickly post a few comments when arriving at a new place.

App or Website?

You can look at ours and see if route is displayed the same.
Thanks Jez, just tried it again sharing it directly via WhatsApp and it didn’t bring up the security warning this time. It must have been because I copied the link.
Oh, it is the app I amusing it on my Android phone because my iPad doesn’t have gps.

If you want to track the route set: in phone settings, Polar Steps, location, set to 'always' rather than "when using the app"

example of a trip... you can see the straight line when I had it 'location' switched off to save data

Thanks, I had the Travel Tracker on but Mode was set to Balanced so I have now set it to High accuracy which is says uses mainly the GPS. Hopefully not data as I don’t have much on my phone. Should be good for the next part of the trip where we will be meandering rather than bashing through.

I should have said to save battery .. but probably just forgot to switch it back on..

Is the map take from USER Account or Follower?
Ours is set to Alway, but still straight line for follower on web: https://www.polarsteps.com/JezAng
As user I can see the intermediate points.
