Hi all. I am trying to remove the PMS3 electric unit from my camper which is being scrapped. I will try to sell the unit on (already sold R&R bed, fridge etc).

Problem is that that I can’t work out how to disconnect the 230V cables which feed the fridge and sockets. Picture attached! The three wires from each cable (line neutral and earth) are fitted into holes on the side of a terminal block but after removing the little plastic plugs on the terminal block above each connection I expect to find a grub screw or similar to release each wire. However I can’t see anything which I can unscrew, twist or click and the wires can’t be pulled out - they are very firmly attached and I don’t want to break anything by using brute force.

I must be missing something and I expect that there’s something obvious that is escaping me.

Has anyone personal experience of connecting up or disconnecting one of these PMS3 units ? Grateful for any advice.

Thanks in advance.

Suspect they are quick connect types and need depressing with say a screw driver to release the cable.

Looks a bit like a push fit sprung cage terminal block, a bit like the Wago. There are designed to use once and stay in place. Close inspection may show a push point that releases the clamp so the cables can be withdrawn. A different brand I used some years ago, you snipped the cable, and you could then push the residue through to the other side and pull it out.

Push with a small flat bladed screwdriver at the points marked with the arrows, and withdraw the cable while it is pushed in.

Thanks guys (all of you) for your speedy responses.

I’ll have a go tomorrow and will report back hopefully with a success.

Success ! I had to press harder with the screwdriver and tug harder on the wire than expected, but they all came out without significant harm to the terminals.

Don’t know how hard it will be for purchaser to remake his connections but that’ll be for him/her to fathom out.

My grateful thanks to you all.
