We stay at riverside both before our outbound and after our return voyages, nice site with small shop, walking distance to sainsburys and has a restaurant and chippy in summer season. Late arrivals are catered for.We stay here https://www.riversidetouringparkplymouth.co.uk/ when we get off the boat

The Sparkford Inn was the place to go in my youth, weekly discos. My Dad and my friend Liz’s Dad would take it in turns to take us. I remember the lecture each week “ no smoking, no drinking and no going outside with boys”! Happy days.We have stayed at Longhazel campsite at Sparkford, 200m from the A303.
There is a pub almost next door, a shop opposite, a garage and a McDonalds just up the road.
And the haynes museum and Montacute stately home very close.
It's 2hrs up the road, to or from, Plymouth.
We have used it as first night back, after arriving on a 5pm ferry, and also as last night on the way out for a 4pm ferry
(The site is fine with late departures by arrangement)
Longhazel has won several awards over the years, so it's a regular stopover for use heading down to the West Country or on the way back.
