If I get the ferry from Roscoff on Monday it docks at 20.10. As that’s too late for a site, is there anywhere at the port to park for the night?

If you are going ,"Up the line" on the A 38 there is a authorised parking spot for caravans and motorhomes to the South of the road.

It can only be accessed South(west)bound.

The address;
Smithaleigh Service Station
Smithaleigh
Plymouth
Devon
PL7 5AX

From looking at their site there isn't anymore parking at the terminal

I live in Plymouth and there's a loads of places you can stay if you don't mind staying at the side of the road

Millbay is the area next to the port and it is not a place you ever need to be after dark, nor is the car park called devil's point also near the ferry

The park and ride is a good spot but quite a long way out of town but safe

Here is OK during the day and ok to sleep over night but not aways great late at night unattended

I live the other side of thr rail way line and it's fine but sometime noise from kids stuff really goes missing but thefts happen everywhere

As already suggested, I can't think of anywhere better than the lay-by at Smitherleigh. There is a big bank of earth between it and the A38 so it will be reasonably quiet at night. It will take you about 15 minutes to get there from the port. There is no parking at the port for an A Class I am aware of, only for cars in marked bays.

Head towards Exeter on the A38 and turn off at Lee Mill and do a U turn back under the A38, rejoin the road and then come off again almost immediately then keep driving straight, parallel to the A38 and you find the lay-by on your left just after the last houses.

Park and ride at home park, couple of minutes from the ferry. Not the most inspiring place but well lit, free and there are always vans there. Huge park adjacent for a walk in the morning. It is on the arterial route out of Plymouth and also an easy walk or bus into town if you want to visit.
If you want a sea view then elphinstone carpark on the hoe (not free but comes with complimentary rats)
