I live in North Lincolnshire. Could anyone please recommend a garage reasonable near me who will replace a Ducato cam belt and waterpump at a sensible price. One clown I have just called quoted £1699!!!!!

Flippin' 'eck! I know I live in the sticks but we do have electricity now and we dismantled our earth closet last week.

Are there really no recommendations?

Jim may be a bit too far South but might be able to advise?

Not sure how far you want to travel, I had mine done at CSG in Chesterfield. It was about £500 for a 2005 Ducatto. Im sure it would not be that much differance. They have done the servicing and repairs on mine for the last 8 years. They service ambulances , lorries , vans /motorhomes etc. So can fit any size in a large workshop. You could visit our wonderfull crooked spire while they do it as they are not far from the town centre.

Thanks for the suggestions. There are very few commercial garages around here and it was one of them which quoted £1699.

Chesterfield is a bit of a stretch tbh.

I'll keep looking.

Had mine done recently here in Nottingham. £350 all in. The savings should cover your diesel for travelling. Can pm you with details if you wish. :giggle:

If you want genuine a Fiat kit that is £480 before any labour. Most commercial garages around our way will only use Fiat kit due to problems with others.

A bit of a stretch at £500 must beat £1699 staying at home.

In March 19 I had a service done which included cam belt, water pump etc & was charged £777 inc. Vat. Without fishing for the invoice, I can't remember exactly what else was included, but there would have been the usual oils, filters etc of a normal service.

That was by Bromley's of Louth. Since that time, Bromley's has changed hands, so different ownership & probably a different mechanic. I suspect it was the owner who did a lot of the hands on work on mine.

A place I haven't used personally but who I have heard good reports about are Greenard's Garage in North Somercotes.

Your more recent quote sounds to be in the right ball park.
