Don't throw your ciggy butt still smoking while driving. Even if you think there will be no consequences. It's only May, not even full summer, and here, in South France fires are already raging!! And I only speak about France, but it's going or even already is the same in Spain, Portugal, Italy! It's really so easy to save nature AND lives. All Lives: human beings of course... and among them all the brave firemen, but also animals, insects etc.... It's so easy to just crush your cigarette butt in the ashtray of your vehicle. Please , think twice before putting those countries at risk

Ashtray in a vehicle?
Surely, they were discontinued about the same time as starting handles and replaced with cup holders? ;)

( I heard today that there are serious forest fires as far North as Canada).

It is a straight 4points loss & 600€ fine here & always shown on the overhead gantries in warmer weather. As yodeli said it is a nightmare for all involved.

Yes you can buy them to fit in where the cupholders go.

France still seems pretty wet, however Spain very dry. Good advice anywhere though.

We spent a few days on the campsite in Chefchouan.
There were loads of campers/ tents in amongst the pine trees many lighting random campfires.
It all seemed a bit dodgy to me but what do I know. Nobody else seemed bothered

You can’t ask Roy castle he’s dead.

I smoked for 50 years, it was purely a habit and didn’t give it a thought until 18 months ago when I had a health scare, I stopped immediately, I still maintain though it’s up to the individual, it’s not easy to stop as I should know had many attempts but it was a massive scare that stopped me, and I’m still stunned that I stopped dead.

My father was the same he gave up overnight when he saw an advert that showed the tar that goes in your lungs.

I agree that individuals can do it and its their choice but not near me thanks, I cannot stand the smell. i remember getting in the wrong tube carriage in the ‘old’ days, it was horrible for a non smoker to suffer (all the walls were deep off-yellow).

Glad to hear you gave it up though 👍🏼

I don’t like the smell, and I can certainly smell it on people and realise that’s how I must have smelled to others. I will defend people’s right to smoke but like you I don’t really want it near me.
