Pioneer AVIC Motorhome stereo & Satnav update.

Hi,
Has anyone had any success in updating the satnav and firmware on an Avic stereo. I am struggling to see how to do it.

When I looked, i think you have to download the update from the pioneer site onto a usb then connect it to one of the black leads you plug the phone into. It looked too complicated to me so havent bothered with mine.

Got ours from eBay £21 bit of a faff but good instructions with it

Yes. You need to down load a small program that interrogates the head unit to ascertain what software and maps are loaded, you then go onto the map providers site and pay an arm and a leg fornew maps, which come with any software updates.
Last done 2 years ago, so may have changed.
