Piezo gas lighter

Hi folks.
Fed up with click click click on my piezo ignition on my gas heater and fridge and nothing happens in my camper.
It does sometimes but so random.
It's old just to say.
Any one managed to change the piezo or upgraded to electronic ignition?

When were they last cleaned and serviced?
A small web is enough to hinder gas and flame.

Tbh... No idea.
It's a 2002 van, had it a year and no history on it!

Is it just a case of taking the front off and vacuum dust and stuff?

There are recommendations we could give you for routine maintenance but if you have no idea of history then a qualified person would be my advice to service it. MCEA for instance cover most of the UK.

Once you have a SAFE starting point then you can easily clean burner jets, flu and burner tube and vacuum or brush out debris. You can also check thermocouple is in the right position etc ...

I'm not doubting your ability as I don't know you and so don't know what experience you have working with gas.
