just back from pickering war weekend and we had a really good time pity the fun meet didnt come off but as we had booked we still went and had a really good time with some nice weather
went into whitby on train yesterday after watching the parade in pickering.
it was like being transportd back in time with all those people dressed in 1940s gear
will go again next year

Yes its a fantastic weekend. The steam train ride is magical, if you dress up its like being a film extra :Rofl1: You can get some brilliant pics. Especially if you do them in sepia.
Its the first time we havn't been for 5 years .
Ralph finished his job up in Northumberland yesterday , so we could have gone for the day. I forgot it was this weekend. But Sunday lunch and a lazy day at home after being away was top on the list for him.
Oh well , still got the uniform , couldn't bare to sell it. If we do Eden camp i shall get it out of the mothballs:Wink:
Im sure we will be going next year.

We also attended the war weekend, great weather Saturday and lots going on.
Had a good look round the showground but could not find any Funsters, no stickers in sight. Both Sat & Sun morning all the tents had a good covering of
frost, it must have been cold in them!.
Hopefully we can be better organised next year and have a proper meet.

would have been alright if hagnap had sorted it as the officials on site were a bit disorganised but yes it was a great weekend went into whitby on the train and had our fish and chip lunch at the quayside resturant and watched all the parades etc:thumb:

We also attended the War Weekend after being invited to a small private gathering on hardstanding just outside the town at cost of £6 per night, considerably less than the show ground. it was so good we stayed three nights :thumb::thumb:

We dressed up and had a cracking weekend. Saw Funsters Gran & Rog on two occasions in the town, and said hello.
