With my Peugeot Boxer now due for its 2nd year service may l ask those out there with the knowledge am l contractually obliged to take the van to a main Peugeot dealer as a way of maintaining the warranty or can l shop around. The quote for my service from Peugeot is £460.

If you read the small print you will see you can take it to an independant providing they use gengiune Peugeot parts.
As the 1st service is not due for 2 years I take my Fiat to and independant just after 2 years as the warranty has then run out.

According to my Peugeot warranty booklet, the warranty is 2 years + 1 year with servicing every 2 years or at specified mileage, whichever come first.

Agree with @Lenny HB's above post.

My local & trusted indy provides a '' level 1 service '' which consists of oil & filter change & various checks & top ups for £95 + v.a.t.

A '' level 2 service '' is a full service, consisting of oil change & oil & air filters, wheels off, brakes checked, etc & costs £125 + v.a.t.

Both services comply with Peugeot's warranty criteria.

So, with Peugeot quoting you £460  - I'd definitely shop around (y)

I had the same quote with our last van, and I took it to an independent garage that charged £180 for the service.
When our van was on the last month of warranty the dash board lights started to glow dimly, I took the van to Peugeot who replaced the dash with no quibble even though I'd taken the van to independent for servicing.
