My 2010 Autosleeper is based on Peugeot Boxer. I am confused as to whether it has an alarm or not. There is a switch on the dash with a padlock emblem that flashes when I lock the van with the key fob. It flashes all the time the van is locked.

Does this mean that the van has an alarm or does it just indicate that it is locked?

If someone can tell me if there is an alarm siren under the bonnet and exactly where that would be very useful. Thanks folks!

Just indicates the cab doors are locked. It's not an alarm. There is no standard alarm fitted in the peugeot boxer base vehicle.its an aftermarket fitting by the converter ( if requested at new stage) or fitted subsequently by a third party.

So I quite likely don't have an alarm. Still not sure how to find out though!

Have you any rocker switches around the dash that you dont know what it does. Any visible led lights that don't light up.
?or a key fob that's not for the van doors. Any stickers anywhere indicating an alarm has been fitted?

None of the above! I think I know the answer now!

No alarm but you may know that if you press the key twice when locking it activates the deadlock mode.

I think I did read that somewhere but had forgotten about it. Thanks for the reminder.

Pull the bonnet lever, lock the doors. Now open the bonnet. Defening noise? Theres the siren. No noise no siren, no alarm.
