A new petition has been launched calling for Brittany Ferries to run a ferry link directly between Portugal and the UK.

Like most ferry routes it would rely on the amount ogf truck traffic and I would have thought that if that demand were there the operators will have already expressed their views. It may be cheaper for trucks to transit Spain.

Brittany Ferries like most including P&O are only afloat due to Gov subsidiary. The recent figure for Brittany is 45m in subsidy
