Pet passport in France

I know from reading other posts that getting a pet passport in France is very difficult, but I’d be interested to know if anybody HAS achieved this, especially in the around Cherbourg? Thanks.

hi i have done it for my cocker spanial, easy if you have have a house in france, mines in orne, first you register your pet with i-cad in france, the local vet can do it for you, it takes about 10 days to get conformation, then see vet again with i-cad paperwork and they will do a passport, well you wait.
you must take pet of course to check id chip, and all passport related injections like rabbis MUST be done in france, NOT england,
total cost about 50 euros
if no house there, my friends (living in france) daughter has used their address to do it,
