Penacova

We have been spending a few days in a place called Penacova, a lovely place by the river with it's own beach.

Was there last year. We were on campsite next to the beach. Had a deluge of rain then a siren went off. We thought it might be a flood warning. Lady at reception spoke no English but we finally determined the siren was calling out the local fire brigade. No pagers or mobile calls but still using village siren!!!
