B544 SL
Hi All, looking at purchasing a Hymer B544 SL, it is 2007 so understandably have some wear and tear. Can anyone advise or had issues a per attached photo and, if so is this reasonably repairable? Any advice much appreciated. Thanks

That needs dealing with pronto, and double check below for any leaks. The aluminium skin will start to corrode and become porous if left like that. Repair is pretty straight forward but I would do the prep and paint with a rubberoid tanking paint. This contains tiny strands of rubber and is waterproof and very resistant to further damage

That’s the fibreglass curved section over the dashboard, not on the aluminium roof.

I think that's on the fibreglass front with the flat aluminum roof behind.
It just needs the attention of a bodyshop I'd have thought to respray all of the front down to the bumper.
Mine needs doing too as it's lost it's gel coat finish but being white it's not so obvious.

Looks just like the fibreglass overcab on my Burstner
I thought I had caused it when using snow foam for the first time, but asking on here, it seems it was a problem with a few models around the 2005 mark ?
Still haven't attended to it and it does look awful, but short of a respray, I'm considering a vinyl wrap to cover it.
ps. no leaks or any issues because of it.

As per above by dalspa it will be fibreglass that has been painted, it just needs a body shop to prep it and paint again, if it isn't bothering you cosmetically it won't take any harm leaving it as it will be gelcoat on the fibreglass underneath.

I thought at that age the overcab was also an aluminium skin. Later models had GRP

Thanks everyone who has replied so far, I will check for any water damage inside and look at options for getting repaired, the respray potentially could be expensive so will see if what sort of cost implications that need to be factored in before offering. Thanks again all

You might find the lacquer peeling on the bumpers too unless they've been repaired, very common fault found on most Hymers around that age

Will need repainting in a body shop and finding one with big enough facilities can be difficult, where are you based?
