Peeling bonnet ( poor zebedee 2003 hymer)

Hi all apologies, if duplicated this question, your thoughts please Our bonnet is starting to peel in the centre( sorry no pics) advice on wrapping or spraying?
2003 hymer any feedback appreciated

There are many who have similar myself included.
Wrapping is only ok if the paint surface is good, any imperfections will show through.
It will likely require stripping back to the undercoat before respraying.

This happened to the paint on door jam, under door window and bonnet on our Adria Coral, right down to base metal.




Decided to bite the bullet and have the whole cab resprayed locally, cost was £1,000. Did mean we had to lose the decals. Pleased with the finished result.

Respray.
(And do it now, before rust gets in)

If it's only the bonnet it's an easy job as they can simply unbolt it.
(Saves messing about screening off the rest of the van.)

However, like house decoration, once you have done one room, the rest looks a bit tatty, so you have to do it all ....

Meant to say we had it done in August 2021, we gulped a bit at the price but they sanded paint right down before spraying.
