Paying Bip & Go via IBAN

Just tried to set up an account with Bip & Go for European autoroutes, contacted my Chase bank for my IBAN number, they aren't in that scheme so I can't use them.
Tried my Halifax account, checked with them, no probs using my IBAN Number for that, so went through registering and get an error msg, 'Your bank is not accessible for SEPA direct debits' whatever they are.
Thats me out of bank accounts, anyone else had this problem?

Yes. HSBC details entered and they refuse DDs. Phoned them. No reason why. Still payments don’t go through.

Get messages from Fulli that payments failed so I pay manually using a Monzo card and that seems to work

Chase are an American bank and as they (the Americans) think that they invented the banking system and because they always look inwards, IBAN means nothing to them. Idiots I know but that's how they are.

Can you pay manually with Fulli? Might try them instead...

Have you got a Revolut card as we do ours through that as it pays in Euros to make life easier

I double triple checked my bank details on their site. Accepted the details and set up the account. Sent my fob aok. But, when they try to take money it fails. I then pay manually

Yes, Fulli. Tag is showing active and has worked on the motorways in Spain.

I did not realise that that some could not accept IBAN numbers

It appears it only works in most of the world, but not North America, India or China

I give up, Judy will just have to hang out the window with her credit card.

Bip and go I had to use a Nat West bank account no problem.
