Probably no stains maybe !!How would they know the bed hadn't been slept in?
The first episode was pretty poor. He was particularly wooden. But it did get more entertaining. In terms of informing people about motorhomes, it was about as informative as Top Gear is to car maintenance.I watched the program out of interest, well as much as I could stomach of the very annoying Mr Merton who was neither entertaining nor funny and Mrs Merton who was doing no more than playing to the camera. The whole program was no more than a "Vehicle" for them and anyone watching would learn nothing about motor homing other than drive badly , park where you like, have little idea of how to get water on board or empty a cassette toilet, Oh and remember, motorhomes have batteries which power lights and appliances. A total waste of film which did nothing to assist anyone contemplating purchasing a motorhome and nothing to promote it.
Yes, or Strictly Come Dancing is to making you own jam.The first episode was pretty poor. He was particularly wooden. But it did get more entertaining. In terms of informing people about motorhomes, it was about as informative as Top Gear is to car maintenance.
To be fair, I don't think this was the objective of the programme. It was entertainment.A total waste of film which did nothing to assist anyone contemplating purchasing a motorhome and nothing to promote it.
Paul Merton didn't seem his usual quick witted self. His career has been based on sharp effortless wit. I hope he is alright. I don't watch HIGNFY anymore as its so bbc left wing biased. He's great on just a minute although I haven't watch that for a while. His partner was lovely and very funny. We enjoyed the show as well, hope to see more of Juki on the TV, she is a better comedian than Merton
It failed in that too!To be fair, I don't think this was the objective of the programme. It was entertainment.
Ha. I don't watch TG, but I did turn over a few years ago and heard Clarkson say that he was driving to the North Pole. Well, any fule kno that you need a submarine to drive to the North Pole, so I waited. Eventually he announced that they'd reached the "North Pole", and made the mistake of showing us the SatNav, which was displaying 81N, which isn't 90N. In fact, it's 540 nautical miles from the pole, which is a long, long, way. Dumbasses. On the note of faking it: The Grand Tour, Madagascar special - A Massive Hunt.
Check out the support vehicles on the boat at the end! No idea how the trucks managed that road
This is a tv programme intended to generally entertain. Friends who know we have a motorhome have said they have enjoyed it and some are attracted by thoughts of giving it a go themselves. The Plumber I use bought the Motorhome they used on TV, he reckons the bed was no slept in , the oven never used ,and grill pan still in its wrapper, he reckons they slept in hotels , can't believe anything you see on TV.
Give an insight is exactly what they didn't do. as for entertainment, well I'm not sure about that either. This is a tv programme intended to generally entertain. Friends who know we have a motorhome have said they have enjoyed it and some are attracted by thoughts of giving it a go themselves.
TV programme makers set up most of what we see, I’ve worked in that business, years ago, but the principle is the same - they are making entertainment. The presenters are presenting a situation intended to entertain and maybe to inform. To do that, they don’t need to live it. I have no idea whether Paul and Suli slept aboard their moho, but expect that mainly they wouldn’t, but would be transported from wherever they stayed to the location of the day.
Let’s not be too purist, these programmes give an insight to what we like doing to those who have never had the experiences that we have.
