Good afternoon all. Does anyone have any recommendations for Overnight Parking near Greenwich? We would like to visit family the week after Easter but they live in the centre of Greenwich. We also need good public transport from the parking as my wife is on a mobility scooter. TIA for any ideas.

Check your vehicle emissions compliance with LEZ and ULEZ zones on Transport for London (TfL) website, or it could cost you £300 pd for LEZ - yes you did read that correctly, £300 pd!!!

Parking anywhere round London is terrible, there's an industrial estate by Canning town station free but wouldn't leave a MH there and then get the tube. Its inside the ULEZ as well also there's Westfield shopping centre you can leave your car up to a week and get the tube.

Shocking isn't it,but that's the price for travelling into Khan-istan in your own un-pc vehicle.
I wonder what fuel the "Uberboats" are running on, L.D.F. ? Liquefied. Dragon. Farts.?
Mike.

As the OP’s wife has to use a mobility scooter, I assume has a blue badge. Does this alter any responses.? Can single yellow lines be used?
FrankandPat , it would help if you could say if your MH is compliant for any of the London emissions zones.

I need Overnight as we are travelling on to get the Eurotunnel
it maybe worth you looking at Blackheath google says it still free on the common and a taxt would not be expensive do you intend to stay in the van. many of the kent commuter coaches used to park there all day

Where in the centre of Greenwich ?

Check your ULEZ situation. If you have a 2014/Euro6 engine it may not be an issue.

It may be cheaper to park outside the ULEZ and get the train into Greenwich (Abby Wood is about 6 stops down the line)

Your reli's may be able to buy parking tickets, all of Greenwich is in various CPZ's, where the Council sells day parking tickets to proven residents (designed for builders, and other contractors)

Just say you van is a Fiat Ducatto, or whatever, (not a motorhome) as there are size limits on the parking places, however two of us in my road (East Greenwich) park motorhomes over the weekend and have not been ticketed yet.

Greenwich has superb public transport, follow the Train, Bus, DLR, tube, Cable car, Uber boat, and cycle lanes to the east and see where you could park.
Even places like Luton or Rochester are 45 mins, no changes, on the train.

You 'MAY' still be able to park on Vanbrugh Park Road, SE3.
It's one of the last places left with parking outside the CPZ, but they are changing the rules very soon (if not already done). Otherwise, you 'can' park in the Cator Estate (where even a 2 up/2 down is over a million quid), (Blackheath Park, SE3) it's not covered by council parking rules, but they have residents who will report you if you stay over one night.

If you have a bluebadge I think you can register with tfl, you then won't pollute anywhere!
