Hi All
This June we are off again to Normandy in our motorhome. We want to visit Falaise in Normandy and wondered what the parking for a 7.5 Metre van is like. Anyone had any experience of visiting here?
We know that France is much better for parking motorhomes than the UK but as this is our first visit to Falaise. We have been to Normandy a few times now and Bayeux has great parking.
What do you think?

Can't help from personal experience but using satellite and street view on Google maps should give you an idea.

But...

6 June is the 75th anniversary of the D Day landings so getting anywhere to park in that part of France in early June could be a challenge and even if you are going later it is bound to be still busy.

Hi DBK
Thanks for the reply. Yes it will be busy. We went last June for the commemorations as my father in law was there 75 years ago and there were loads of vans parking up. We managed to get around without too much hassle but as you say this will be a big one, maybe the last as the veterans are getting very thin on the ground.

Has anyone used the Campercontact App? The website looks quite good with lots of places to stop.

The app is much easier to use than the website on a tablet or phone.

CamperContact is what I use but there are other apps such as search4sites.

Thanks again DBK
I will download the App as I will be taking my phone with me when we go.

We stayed on the aire under the castle walls in March. Large general car park - busy during the daytime with cars but we tucked ourselves away at the far end and were alone overnight. Although we are only 6 metres, there was loads of space and opportunities to overhang your rear end on the grass (we used the little dip on the grass to level up!).
