Would like to visit the Cathedral and would welcome information on car parks which would be in walking distance and are suitable for our motorhome. ( 6.5 Mtrs long) so any suggestions gratefully received.

Do not forget the low bridge in Ely. Use level crossing.

We parked up at Fishermans car park on Saturday. This is the view taken from our van, although we did park along the road leading down to the actual car park, where there is a 4 hour restriction, but this dosen’t seem to be monitored.
There is a 23 hour restriction on the actual car park, and are ok to overnight there.
The road to it is a little narrow, so care is required. The Cathedral is a 10 minute walk from the car park.
One of the nice things about visiting Ely, is that all the parking is Free.
The Main car park on Forehill also allows MH’s, but gets extremely busy, and has marked out spaces which are quite small. The Fisherman’s car park has no markings, so easier to park.

You should be ok overnight so long as you don't look like your camping ( no chairs/ BBQ,s etc

Forgot to say it's quite a steep walk up the hill to the cathedral but worth it

For goodness sake. It's that sort of behaviour that so often results in barriers preventing any usage of the car park.
I agree with that and had no intention of staying overnight particularly when there are signs and information sayin it is not allowed. I don’t want to find a height barrier next time I visit.
