Swift Sundance 590RS
I'm fitting an aluminium panel to the back of my van as part of a repair job. How do I find the correct paint colour to match the van?

It's a 2004 Swift Sundance.

Many thanks if people have an idea how to find a match and a supplier.

Many thanks

Go to a paint refinisher . They will read the current paint and mix you up some to the exact colour. Hand held gun takes loads of reflective images and then gives the recipe for mixing.

Phone swift give them the build number or chassis number and they will give you the code.

But the original may have faded over time so the scanning gadget might give you a better match.

As post #5, your vehicle is 20+ years old and will have suffered paint fade
The fade will happen differently across each panel and from panel to panel, a good refinisher will give you a ‘best’ match

You can see my Avatar is a mk1 MX5, as post #3 I took the car to a paint supplier in Chester and they used their paint matching gizmo on the panel I was repairing, turns out it was a shade of silver for a 2000’s Mercedes rather than a 1991 Mazda!
You could also try Chipex touch up paint, I can vouch for the exactness of their touch up products. I have Fiat Azure Blue for MoHo, Fantastic Red for my previous Ford Puma, Black for our current MX5, and Rosso Red for an Alfa Romeo Guiletta than the Mrs had the great misfortune to own for a while.
