Checking on the motorhome this evening and I noticed some paint damage on the side of the habitation unit. The bare aluminium is showing underneath. It looks almost like a tear rather than a chip and is about 10mm long by 4 mm wide. I was wondering if anyone has ever used the services of a mobile paint repair specialist on the MH habitation area and what the results were like as I've never used these tradesmen before?

On our last van with a black metallic cab I bought from E bay touch up paint. I dabbed the smallest amount along a 10" long scratch through to the white primer wipped off the excess and repeated this about 3 times slowly building up the colour and depth. When the paint had dried I very cautiously rubbed down the slight excess left on with wet 1200 grit wet and dry paper the polished it and you could barely see the scratch. The important thing is to build the paint up slowly, so you dont get a build up of paint deeper than the paint your trying to match.
