on the bottom of the cab door!, the blisters are filled with water and have started to corrode. IMG_2884.jpeg IMG_1017.jpeg IMG_1018.jpeg IMG_2887.jpeg IMG_2888.jpeg

Had the same on two Hymers. Appears to be caused by water trapped under the seal as the edges of the panel are just bare cut aluminium.
After mine was repaired I applied some clear silicon RRV under the seals not had any further problems.

You have a 2 year warranty so you need to get it back to the main dealer. Or did you buy it secondhand ?
Even if you bought secondhand main dealer should still do something about it. Also have an e-line and don’t give up on Carthago, stick to your guns.

Sounds like osmosis on grp that you'd get on a boat, does the water smell like vinegar?

We had it twice on ours. Our dealer had it sprayed up the first time and the second time offered to order a new door but we declined as the last time we had one (Chausson) it was a different shade from the rest of the camper and looked awful! Instead they've had it sprayed up again but it's come back once more so we'll be sorting it out ourselves as it's not in warranty anymore and even if it was we wouldn't want to do the silly drive to them just for a bit of paint touch up.

I think my next van will be a British built van as they use grp so no corrosion issues, When are the German builders going to catch on!
They too have issues, this was my 6 month old autotrail , the grp had cracked and had to go back to the factory!!

This issue apart I am really pleased with the overall build quality of the Carthago

We have had two Autotrails one used 2008 great van one new 2010 lots of silly faults kept it 18 months and got rid.
Bought a new Hymer in 2017 the dealers had it more than us 🙁 got rid at 3 years old, now on our second Carthargo both used so fixed all the little bits myself mainly electrical failures oh and double glazing dealer fit 👍

Had me worried now. Living in "the salty bit of Hampshire", I've just been to check my doors. The tiniest blemish at one corner of the hab door which will repay monitoring rather than remedy at this stage.
