Today I decided to sort out my intermittent LNB problem I have been having and it turns out it was a partial break in one of the LNB cables:
I have three LNB’s and decided to rewire all three right through the system which meant dismantling the dish. At the same time I replaced the plastic dome which had a crack and full marks to @Anthony OysterTech and his team as I only ordered the part on Friday afternoon and it was with me Saturday morning!! I decided to use the new very thin cable which I’ve seen on the newer Oyster systems and pleased to say the signal and quality is far better than before. The F connectors were very delicate to do but with the right tools was achievable. Much happier now as the old cable seemed very stiff which no doubt contributed to the splitting!! Here is the new cable:
