Hi. My Oyster V dish went up the other day but then stopped. It now has over current protection warning in both azimuth and elevation and will not retract. Thee were no obstructions that I could see. I have loosened the bolts on either side of the dish to lower the dish and prevent damage in the recent storm but now don’t know where to go from there. Is there a reset button or fuse somewhere? How do I reset the dish to the correct/original elevation? I have read all the TenHaaf manuals but there is not a lot there. Any advice welcome.

Good morning johnk117

Firstly sorry for the delayed response, I have been away over Christmas and have only just returned to work this morning.
Strange that the system is showing overcurrent on both motors. Normally, the system would only be using one motor at a time so if one shows a fault then the other shouldn't start at all. I would recommend that the system be inspected to ascertain the cause of the fault before making any assumptions. You are more than welcome to book the system in with us at our premises. If you would like to do so then please give us a call on 01858575928.

Many thanks to GeoffnDee for the tag.

Hi Anthony, sorry new to this forum ... or any forum at that, so not sure if I'm messaging u correctly. I notice other people had a question about the oyster vision 3. We put ours up not realising that the other tv Ariel was in the way, we put it down straight away and received a y motor error. I then did a reboot and received a initial error with a tick, can you help with this problem cheers Lynda.

Good afternoon TLC21

Chances are, if the system had caught the aerial in any way, that it shut the motors down to protect itself. Once the blockage has been removed you should be able to do a four button reset on the control box (hold all four buttons until you hear a click) and the unit should then slowly realign itself before going into standby. From there you'd just switch on as normal. If that doesn't work then I'd likely need to see it in order to diagnose further I'm afraid.

If you want to get in touch directly you can reach me on 01858575928 or anthony@oystersat-tech.co.uk
