My neighbour in Spain his Oyster has locked on to Astra 2 facing south when it should be south east, any ideas.

Usually I and others would say that it has tried to lock on to an unused (or unreceivable) Astra 2 frequency, that is active on another satellite, so locked onto that other satellite instead.

Thanks for the information, should he re boot by unplugging the unit.

Sorry Swifter not sure really. As Sat and PC guy says it could be a transponder on another satellite or the OP could be mistaken on the direction and it could be that they're on Astra 2 but watching channels on the pan european signal.

It is facing south and only picks up foreign channels unlike mine that picks up a few uk channels and faces s.e.
