Hi all, we put our Oyster/ Hymer 60/80 Satellite dish up to wash the motorhome and it now won’t retract. No pressure washers used and have done the procedure before. We have tried all the things we can but have never had an issue before. It says it is retracting and doesn’t and then showed a red ERROR 0296 message. We also tried starting the motorhome to see if it retracted automatically but it didn’t. Would be so grateful for help as we can’t drive it back to storage! Thank you!

Big shout out of thanks to Anthony at Oyster Tech, gave him a call and he diagnosed the problem for me and advised how to lower the satellite dish safely to travel. Unfortunately the circuit board has failed so will need replacing but so grateful for all the help.
Thank you will give that a go, will report back !
Try doing a 4 button reset. The same as ctrl/alt/del on computers.
Press all 4 buttons on the panel for about 5 seconds.
Sadly that didn’t work but thanks for trying to help.

What was the solution to manually lower the dish? This may help others (including me) in the future

Yes it was to loosen the 2x17mm bolts on the bracket under the black bolt covers and to carefully lower it and then tighten the bolts again. It doesn’t lie as flat if it isn’t exactly in the right position but good enough to travel. Luckily ours wasn’t hanging over the side of the motorhome.
