oversized mppt? would it be a problem?

enough to know i shouldnt touch things i know nothing about ....
would it be a problem if i fitted an oversized mppt to my motorhome to 'future proof' it? i am looking at 200w of solar to start so looking to get a bigger mppt in case i add extra solar at some point? thanks

Why not fit one MPPT per panel and then your eggs are not all in one basket?

Also if you do it this way, you don't have to worry about matching voltage and amps, you can get the best value on offer at the time.

Why not fit one MPPT per panel and then your eggs are not all in one basket?
Although it has advantages it means two holes through the roof, two pairs of cables to get through the van so a more difficult install.
