Overnight near Berkhamsted (1 Viewer)

Looked on the usual apps and there seems to be a paucity of stopovers in the immediate area. Not interested in the car parks up on Ashridge but are there any pubs or similar where a MoHo can overnight close to the town? We have a funeral to attend next week so need to be local.

If you don't get any specific responses, I'd use Google maps to find a few pubs, have a look on Streetview for space and access and then give them a bell

The George and Dragon pub in Northchurch has a big car park and always seems to have plenty of space overnight. Not sure if they would let a MH stay over but may be worth a call to ask. Less than 10 minutes to Berkhamsted town centre.

The Black Horse HP16 9AX is listed as a Stopover in Practical Motorhome mag.About 20mins away from Berkhampsted

If you are a CAMC member there are two CL‘s only half an hour away from Berkhamsted - Dagnall Farm CL and Abbots View Alpaces - both nice, quiet, safe locations.

Big car Park near The Three Horseshoes / Winkwell swing bridge in Berkhampsted. A bit narrow but doable.

Nope ignore, 3T weight limit, sorry.

Actually, if one approached from north of the railway line, it's not 3.5T...

Worth a call to the pub to check as noted by others.

The funeral is in the church opposite and the reception is being held at that very same hostelry.
They don’t normally allow overnighting but as we’re travelling up from the Westcountry there’s no problem for the one night.
