We’re currently at L’Estartit and plan to head in the direction of Barcelona on Monday, can anyone recommend an Aire or campsite for a couple of nights. We don’t mind jumping on public transport within an hour of the city, I’ve seen a few on the usual apps but just look for personal reviews.

+1 for Camping Barcelona.
We were there to visit Barcelona a few years back. Be aware you have to book the free shuttle when you check in.

The coach left the site abt 0900, about 1 hour drive into the centre. Dropped off at Placa de Catalunya and collected again at 1700.

Camping Barcelona was/is an ACSI site but probably full price Easter Monday!

If you are going to use the trains this trip, consider buying a Tarjeta Dorada (Golden Ticket,) on RENFE. Abt €6 for the year from the Railway Station and gives you 40% off (As you are now of a certain age)

The filling station opposite Lidl on the road out of L'Estartit is one of the cheapest in Spain!

Yes again for Camping Barcelona. Mataro is a lovely town also. Regular shuttle from campsite and more frequent local trains 30-ish minutes to Barcelona.ACSI discount available if the dates are right

Thanks for the replies, site looks ok and reasonably priced for location. I don’t have an ACSI card but willing to purchase one if required, however their website doesn’t mention it so not sure they actually accept it.

Did last year. I missed the ASCI mention on their website, I booked in advance for June. They gave me the discount on arrival

It looks like ACSI is accepted there (€27 per night) BUT NOT between 14th and 28th April
