looking at buying the above awning for a Adria Twin 640 SLB Supreme - assume i need the large one - van not being delivered till next week but I want to advantage of a sale - any one got experience of this awning?

We bought one 3 years ago and never used it, bought a Quest Screen house 4 Pro which we use all the time. Half the weight, third of the time to put up, fifth of the time to put away.
If you're still after the drive away make me a silly offer.

Driveaway awnings are a nightmare according to some on this forum, others like them. We had one for our Coral which quickly went on eBay. We use the Thule smart panels in the summer. Pack down very small but of course the Coral doesn't move, we do. Suggest you use the new Twin for a while before buying. Do you have a wind out awning? If so this is probably adequate initially.

A thumbs up from us on the Quest ScreenHouse 4 pro as well. We spent ages looking for an awning that was quick to put up and down ( and I don't consider 15 minutes, especially in the rain as quick). In the end we gave up; only to see a YouTube clip on the Screen House 4. You really can erect and bring down in one minute (not including attaching weather straps). At 2.4m square and high, for the two of us it's perfect and we can leave it in place if we drive off.

Currently this awning is on offer at 50% off the usual price - tempting offer and was trying to jump the gun - but I shall be sensible for once and wait - thanks for the replies

You have to ask why this item is half price. The main issue with these units is lining up the vehicle on return so that the joint with the "tent" can be made.

Plus a relatively big unit to carry around in the van and a nightmare putting away if it’s pouring down. Mine, like many others I suspect, went from van to car garage to shed and finally the local tip.

We are currently using an inflatable drive away awning ,(star camp 330) for the first time and we are very happy with it. We wouldn't use it as a drive away but find that being connected to the motorhome allows us to easily pass from one to another especially when it's raining! Would we use it every where and every time we go away, NO ... Would we use it again, YES ....

You can also use a driveway without attaching it to your motorhome if you wanted to.

We bought ours pre loved at about a third of the cost of a new one, I have to sort out one of the straps as it's snapped, but we are really pleased with it and prefer it to the pop ups, which to be honest though are a lot quicker to put up and take down.

Perhaps someone needs to design a pop up that connects to a motorhome to get the best of both options......

Thank you for all the answers - this one has dropped down a place in the list...

the list contains all the possible updates required to help me with my mobility issues (spinal injury) and after watching a video if a quest 4 with a connecting kit looks a good addition to the van
