Our beloved “as new” 2022 Chausson motorhome is now up for sale due to my unexpected health issues - such a sad day 😔 We’ve got many happy memories and maybe in the future we can get another motorhome but for now we have to sadly sell it.

Thanks to everyone on here for your advice about selling. We’ve advertised it on the Classified section on Fun, and on Autotrader. Advert link below - any advice on text / photos appreciated (does it include everything that a potential buyer needs to know?)

If anyone is interested in it, or knows anyone who might be, please PM me - it would be good to offer such a good motorhome to a fellow Funster 😊

Hope all comes good for you both in the sale of the van and more importantly health

wishing you luck with the sale, it looks a beautiful van, you must be gutted at having to sell but when your health is sorted out you can start again hopefully..

Nicely written.

Couple of considerations, and they are only considerations, stating how much solar in watts, how much gasit in kgs, how much battery in ahs, naming the make of fridge, it probably has an alarm.

The downside about adding this information is that it gives no questions for the potential buyer to ask.

Very best of luck

Thank you all 😊

Good tips for additional information - the solar panel is 140 watts, the Gas It is 11kg (with a full set of European adaptors), and the fridge freezer is a 3-way Dometic. No idea about the battery ahs but my other half is an electrical engineer so I’ll ask him!

I’ll try to add the above details to the advert - thanks

I’ve just been checking our autotrader advert (see link below).

I also looked at other adverts for newish 2022 motorhomes and I was struck that about 90% are sold by dealers and only 10% by private sellers.

Do any of you know why that is? Our motorhome comes with substantial manufacturers warranty so why would buyers pay much more at a dealership for the same thing? We know that a dealer would put our motorhome up for sale for at least another £6,000 on top of the price we are asking!

I know people are wary of scammers (both buyers and sellers), but with diligent checking this is not a problem.

What would you prefer if buying a “nearly new” motorhome? Buying from a dealer (more expensive but possibly perceived as “safer”), or from a private seller (significant saving but need to check more personally)?
