Our first Motorhome

Thank you for your responses and welcomes. I would have got back sooner but been caught up with other things. Re the payload, the reason we don’t have concerns because we have done a lot of research, not only on this website but others too including the various manufacturer’s sites. Plus, having had a caravan, it is something that we are very well aware of. There are things that we took with us in the caravan but never used so have got rid. When taking any grandkids on trips, there will no bikes or the likes - that’s for their parents to deal with lol. We only ever take two chairs.

What was restricting our search was my other half’s concerns about the wet room style bathrooms. Anyway, having made some comprises, we have now purchased our first MH
(with wet room) and brought it home at the weekend. Funnily, we have looked at quite a number of different models but ended up full circle and back at the 2nd one that we had looked at. Took it out yesterday to test the water, toilet and heating - all good so far. There are other things to sort though. One being the toilet roll holder as every time you come out of the toilet, you end up catching it and the loo roll comes off the end. Hubby has turned the holder around but it is still a bit iffy.

Hi, We have a Bailey Autograph and so far (6 months) has been a pleasure to own. Build quality is great and it won't take long to suss out any little niggles you may have. I reckon it took the first three set ups on different sites to get to know the MH and since then, we've been very impressed with how easy it is compared to our old van (Elldis Sunstyle 130)….plug in, turn on control panel....done!

Wishing you many happy miles!

Thanks. First trip this weekend but only for two nights and on a small site, just in case there are any issues lol. Hopefully get to grip with the control panel.
